Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills has appointed Troy Wilson as associate director of the firm’s tax compliance and technology team.

Mr Wilson, a former partner at Deloitte, was also a partner at mid-tier Grant Thornton for 15 years.

He was most recently the chief financial officer and tax partner of financial advisory firm AZ Next Generation Advisory Limited.

He was also a non-executive director at real estate software provider Rockend.

Greenwoods chief operating officer and head of business transformation Michael Cox said Mr Wilson will be tasked with expanding the firm’s tax compliance and technology service.

Mr Wilson will also focus on tax governance policies, processes and controls and producing accurate tax compliance reports.

“Troy is a compelling addition to our tax compliance and technology team and will bring a strong technology focus to the firm’s client offering,” Mr Cox said.
