As a result, the Australian arm of the network will now operate as ‘RSM’, joining international accounting and advisory companies Baker Tilly and McGladrey in adopting the new identity.

With 29 offices in Australia, RSM’s Australian arm is the ninth-largest member of the international network, which was established in 1964.

“Adopting the international RSM brand brings us in line with our global community and lets us leverage its global resources of 37,500 professionals,” said Kim Hutchinson, national chairman of RSM in Australia.

“It also means we can reinforce RSM’s global identity as the adviser of choice for entrepreneurial, growth-focused organisations around the world,” he added.

According to the firm, the RSM rebrand represents “a new era of growth”, following a seven per cent revenue rise over the past year.

“RSM is leveraging its international network to drive growth into Australia, which is in line with its strategic plan to invest more internationally and locally,” Mr Hutchinson stated.

RSM Australia has recently sought to bolster its Australian footprint, expanding its mergers and acquisitions team in Sydney, government consulting in Canberra and the fraud and forensic services team in Melbourne.

“RSM continuously looks for growth opportunities, including further expansion in Queensland. This will facilitate RSM’s growth in Australia and Asia, as Queensland becomes a gateway to the Asia Pacific for agribusiness,” Mr Hutchinson said.
