PKF has announced a global agreement with an international data analytics and continuous monitoring software company.

PKF strikes global audit deal

The agreement, struck with CaseWare Idea Inc., facilitates access to the software company’s flagship product, Idea Data Analysis Software, allowing PKF member firms the opportunity to purchase Idea licences at special pricing and further incorporate the software into audit operations.

Theo Vermaak, chairman of PKF's international professional standards committee, highlighted the ability to integrate technology into the audit process.
“Data analysis is increasingly important in both audits and consulting engagements of all types and sizes,” Mr Vermaak said.
“While many of our assignments already utilise data analysis techniques, this agreement allows us to further develop the interrogations, tools and global support to maximise the benefits and improve consistency globally."
Bob Cuthbertson, COO of CaseWare Idea Inc., also spoke of the opportunities that the agreement provides.
“By making Idea readily accessible to member firms in all 150 countries, PKF can establish a global capacity for utilising our data analytics solution in support of their audit, advisory and taxation compliance services,” he said.
PKF also flagged an ongoing collaboration with the CaseWare Analytics brand to continue integration of software into audit operations.
“PKF will establish a knowledge base of Idea best practices, analytic scripts and case studies to be shared across the member firms,” the firm said.
