Kennedy and Co joins PKF Australia

Business

PKF has announced that a new member firm has joined the Australian network.

Adelaide-based mid-tier Kennedy and Co has joined the network to provide PKF with a presence in the South Australian market.

After 20 years as an independent firm, managing partner Dom Cosentino said the time was right to join a larger network.

“As the world becomes borderless the demands of our firm and our clients are changing. Operating globally was inevitable and joining PKF gives us the ability to access a wider and deeper pool of expertise to meet these demands,” he said.

Mr Cosentino described the alliance as a “natural fit”, adding that Kennedy and Co has retained the ability to operate independently while gaining the ability to expand its global reach.

“Our clients will continue to enjoy the personalised local service we have always offered, but also benefit from access to international resources, experts in specialist areas and high quality global connections,” he said.

“Every day we hear from clients [about] how our services have helped to further their business; now with PKF, the benefits are limitless. Our clients, our staff and the firm are excited for what the future with PKF will bring,” Mr Cosentino said.

The firm will now be known as PKF Kennedy and will join existing member firms with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, the Gold Coast, Newcastle, Canberra, Hobart, Glenorchy, Tamworth, Walcha and Rockhampton with combined revenues in excess of $97 million and over 70 partners.

Cementing the alliance marks an important step in the recovery of the PKF Australia network after the Brisbane, Melbourne and NSW firms left in 2012, four years after merging to form one East Coast Practice.
