He revealed yesterday that Richard Deutsch will join the executive team of professional services firm Deloitte Australia on 16 February 2015.

Mr Swiegers said he was delighted to announce the hire, saying Mr Deutsch is “someone I have long respected for his contribution to our profession”.
“Richard, who was also President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants [ICAA] in 2009 and a Board member of the ICAA from 2004 to 2009, is one of the most senior lateral hires we have made in the Australian firm. He will bring a wealth of experience across our key practice areas.
“His leadership of Audit and Consulting practices and his passion for progressive people programs dovetail perfectly with Deloitte’s focus on our clients and our people. These have all been critical elements driving Deloitte’s rapid growth and high staff engagement.”
Mr Deutsch said he was excited to be joining Deloitte and was looking forward to this next stage in his career.
“Innovation and design thinking, for which Deloitte is renowned, will be more relevant than ever as organisations across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors continue to face volatile and disruptive conditions,” he said.
“I am also pleased to be continuing as chairman of OzHarvest and a board member of Adara, a charity that supports underprivileged children and mothers in Nepal and Uganda.”
