The new product’s core capabilities focus on three areas: seamlessly exposing tools and insights to accountants, seamlessly working with all their employees and clients, and transforming how accountants grow their practice, the international software company said.
Nicolette Maury, managing director for Intuit in Australia, described the product as the biggest thing that Intuit has ever done for accountants.
“It’s been designed by working with accountants worldwide, including accountants in Australia, to get feedback on what are some of the types of functionality that they want to see in the product in order to enable them to save time and grow their practice,” she said.
Speaking to AccountantsDaily, Ms Maury said the developments are largely focused on how accounting professionals can collaborate better with their clients and manage their workflows.
“It basically gives a better customisable dashboard for the accountants and creaters a greater number of collaboration tools to enable accountants to work more seamlessly across multiple clients and also to send and receive information in a really efficient manner,” Ms Maury said.
Jim McGinnis, vice president, Intuit Accountant and Advisor Group said the biggest moment for accounting professionals in QuickBooks history has arrived.
“The reimagined QuickBooks Online Accountant is inspired by our accounting partners because they’ve told us it is all about their time. It's their time to move to the cloud and their time to be recognised as the trusted advisor,” Mr McGinnis said.
