The partner appointments cover a number of business divisions including cyber risk services, business services and legal services.

Marco Carlei, managing director of Moore Stephens Australia told AccountantsDaily the appointments are part of a clear strategy to meet increased client demands.

The firm has recognised that clients are becoming a lot more sophisticated and that their needs are becoming a lot more demanding, meaning firms must adapt to meet clients’ new demands, said Mr Carlei.

“We have reviewed our capabilities internally throughout all the offices and identified that clearly we need certain capabilities and attributes to meet client’s expectations, therefore we have gone to the marketplace specifically with those objectives.”

Mr Carlei said he believes the strategy of bringing in expert talent is working, allowing the firm to better meet clients’ needs.

“I think the strategy is working and all firms (within the Moore Stephens network) are following that same approach – understanding their clients’ needs and ensuring they have the resources, capabilities and talent to meet them.”

“All firms are experiencing the same organic growth and increase in profile in their respective markets and as a result of that we are attracting some really talented individuals,” Mr Carlei said.
