Regional NSW accounting giant Boyce celebrates half-century

Regional accounting giant Boyce will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with community events across NSW culminating in a black-tie gala dinner in Sydney in November.

The privately owned company, established on 2 October 1973, has grown over five decades to become a top 40 practice with 12 principal advisers and 160 staff spread from Moree to Bega.
Marketing, communications and events manager Cassandra McDonald said the firm was a “classic regional returner”.
“Mick Boyce established the company in Sydney but unexpected paths lead to undiscovered treasures, and Boyce soon moved to Cooma and its stunning Snowy Mountains backdrop,” she said.
“By the end of the decade, we had opened a second branch, on the rich black-soil plains of Moree.
“In regional Australia everyone has a story and every path is different. Boyce loved the diversity and vibrancy of the communities, and we were quick to open branches in Dubbo, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga and Orange.
“Boyce became an integral part of those communities, supporting our clients with a comprehensive suite of financial and advisory services, creating employment opportunities, and supporting our professionals to expand their skills with further study.
“Then and now, we support sports teams, local charities, industry and professional organisations, and the events that make regional Australia a terrific place to live, work and play.”
She said Boyce was now the largest private professional services firm in regional Australia and had expanded to include hubs in Canberra, Tamworth, and Sydney.
“Our team members and clients can be located anywhere but we are always connected by the way we do things, the values we share and the communities we serve. Boyce bridges the gap between rural and city Australia.”
She said Boyce had been at the forefront of embracing innovation and combined an understanding of financial regulations and market trends with advanced analytical tools.
Managing director Carmen Caldwell (pictured) said the anniversary was an exciting milestone.
“Our success over the past 50 years is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team, as well as the trust and support of our valued clients,” she said.
“We are grateful for the partnerships we have formed with generations of Boyce clients and team members. We have been thankful for the opportunities to make a positive impact on the financial wellbeing of our clients and our communities.”
Boyce offers agri services, business advisory, assurance, wealth management, corporate registry, superannuation and tax consulting services, and is focused “on bridging the gap between regions and cities”.
