Accountants Daily is proudly celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Australian Accounting Awards in 2023 with the support of principal partner Intuit QuickBooks.

The awards ceremony will recognise the leading firms and professionals driving the accounting industry forward.

Accountants Daily received almost 600 submissions and has whittled that down to 285 finalists who will compete for 20 individual and 15 group awards.

Individual finalists include academics, accounting consultants, students and support staff, auditors, bookkeepers, CFOs, mentors, thought leaders, partners and the rising stars of tomorrow.

Group finalists take in bookkeeping firms, boutique firms, business advisory firms, innovators and networks.

The best wellness programs and initiatives will also be recognised at this year’s awards.

At the end of the ceremony, the top-scoring individual winner will receive the coveted Excellence Award for 2023.

In 2022, Carbon Group CEO Mason Dunn walked away with this award after being named Chief Financial Officer of the Year earlier in the evening.

The black-tie awards ceremony will be held on Friday 30 June 2023 at the Star in Sydney. Click here to buy your tickets.

Since its inception in 2014, the Australian Accounting Awards has set the benchmark for excellence and given national recognition to those influencing the profession and driving innovation.

This year will be no exception, as the awards will celebrate the best and brightest in accounting, pinpoint professional development and innovation, and highlight the contributions made across the profession, from the most senior ranks to the rising stars.

The gala awards ceremony also presents an opportunity for the accounting profession to network with their peers and industry leaders, while revelling in their successes and the achievements of their colleagues.

Accountants Daily editor Philip King said: “Reaching the finals of the Australian Accounting Awards is an achievement in itself and I congratulate everyone who has made it this far.

“Best of luck for the finals and I hope you can join us for the 10th anniversary event, because it will be a night to remember.”
