David Boyar FCA has officially joined ChangeGPS as the company’s head of growth. Timothy Munro, a director of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), will continue as CEO of the business.

The appointment of Mr Boyar will see him focus on sustainable growth and new business opportunities.

“David has a track record of helping accountants take advantage of digital practice management and the changing expectations of clients,” a statement from ChangeGPS said.

“One of the youngest Fellow Chartered Accountants members, he is the podcasting voice of Chartered Accountants Catalyst innovation program and delivered a TEDx talk on the value of accountants to Australian communities.”

Commenting further on the appointment of Mr Boyar, Mr Munro said, “We are very excited to have a leader of David’s calibre join the business. I founded ChangeGPS to help accountants get paid what they are worth while working less hours.

“Accountants have a huge opportunity to de-risk their businesses and control their client relationships and we want more of them to succeed.”

Mr Boyar, who is a self-described advocate for accountants, expressed his excitement to take on the new role as head of growth for ChangeGPS.

Reflecting on the last five years, he said, “Everything I’ve loved has been about helping accountants and I think the nine ChangeGPS apps are the easiest way for accountants move up the value chain and I wanted to be a part of that”.
