Business

Promoted by MYOB.

It’s rare we can point to a single event in life and say ‘that was the moment that shaped my future’ – MYOB Partner Connect might just be one of those moments.

Whether you’re a solo practitioner or a firm of hundreds, this year’s MYOB Partner Connect is shaping up to be one for the ages.

Featuring the wisdom of industry shapers in bookkeeping and accounting, futurists and business leaders, MYOB Partner Connect never fails to generate an atmosphere of excitement, education and inspiration.

Last year, MYOB brought together thousands of attendees in two separate events – one for Australia and one for New Zealand. This year, the event will be bringing them all together in the one place: The Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.

Knowledge is power

Hosted over two days, attendees to Partner Connect can expect multiple streams of best practice information, insights and MYOB product demonstrations, offering a future-focused vision of your work that will help you shape your success in 2019 and for years to come.

While the full lineup of speakers is yet to be announced, MYOB has already revealed that leading futurists and hosts of the award-winning tech and science podcast ‘Future Sandwich’, Steve Sammartino and Tommy McCubbin will be headlining the event. Drawing from insights from the yet-to-be released MYOB Radar Report, Sammartino and McCubbin are sure to impress with their deep understanding of disruptive technology and its impacts on wider economy.

Likewise, Holly Ransom, Chief Executive of the strategic consulting firm Emergent and one of the youngest people to be listed in Australia ‘100 Most Influential Women’, will also be presenting one of the headline keynotes. Having presented on six continents, Ransom was listed by Sir Richard Branson as one of his dream dinner guests. She’s also a nominee for Wired Magazine’s ‘Smart List’ of future game changers to watch and, in 2018, was personally requested by Barack Obama to moderate an hour-long conversation during his only speaking engagement in Australia.

And that’s only a taste of what’s to come, with a swathe of key speakers and special guest presenters yet to be announced.

Be seen, be recognised

Every year MYOB Partner Connect plays host to some of the most prominent talents in the accounting and bookkeeping industry with a truly memorable Gala Dinner and Awards night.

An unforgettable, red carpet experience awaits those who attend, with a chance to celebrate with your peers and industry leaders in style. Who says you shouldn’t mix business with pleasure?

Even better, this year’s Partner Awards are run on a new, invite-only nomination process, meaning recipients will only be drawn from those selected by the best practices and practitioners from around Australia and New Zealand. Already well-regarded as a benchmark of excellence in accounting and bookkeeping, this year’s Partner Connect awards will offer the very definition of prestige.

Previous Certified Consultant of the Year winner, Leanne Berry of Love Your Numbers, says that it can take a lot of work to be recognised in such a frenetic field, but the existence of the MYOB Partner Awards offers well-deserving professionals with a highly visible platform on which to showcase their success.

“A massive part of this business is networking and the key to networking is you’ve absolutely got to give before you can have any thought of getting anything out of it,” said Berry.

“Being recognised as an MYOB Partner Award winner in any category can only occur after years of dedication to supporting your networks, your teams and your clients.

“As such, I’m very proud to be an award recipient, not for the award itself, but for what it represents.”

MYOB Partner Connect 2019 will be held on the 21 and 22 of August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
