A division of Sage Australia has announced the appointment of a new national sales director which represents an attempt to accelerate business within the region.

Simon Berglund will head up the national sales director role at Sage MicrOpay, a division of Sage Australia which offers payroll and HR software. He boasts a distinguished career spanning 25 years across B2B sales, marketing, eCommerce, licensing, copyright and customer service.
Mr Berglund operated within the mining, manufacturing, construction, education and health industries, prior to joining the software provider, offering entrepreneurial and commercial assistance to clients.
“We are delighted to have Simon Berglund driving the sales of our business software to small and medium-size businesses in this market,” said Michael Smith, managing director of Sage MicrOpay Australia.
Mr Berglund noted that customers are continuing to seek compliant and efficient payroll and workforce management solutions to aid their business operations.
“I enjoy working to help drive business efficiencies and provide customers with solutions that support their growing needs, and my role at Sage provides strong alignment with this,” he concluded.
