Regency Partners recruits manager from HLB Mann Judd

Appointments

The prospect of building deeper relationships with clients attracted the hire back to boutique practice.

A tax manager from HLB Mann Judd has joined Perth-based accountancy firm Regency Partners as a senior manager, making the switch from mid-tier to boutique practice.

Accountant Brad Campbell joins a team of 30 staff at Regency Partners, with three other senior managers and four partners.

Mr Campbell’s experience includes tax consulting, business services and work on international related party dealings.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Campbell had stints in various mid-tier firms including working as a tax manager at HLB, senior tax manager at Findex and supervisor at Bentleys.

“I look forward to working with the team at Regency Partners to help our clients achieve their business goals and overcome any challenges they may face along the way,” he said.

Mr Campbell’s move to Regency Partners marks a return to boutique practice after cutting his teeth working at Charters Chartered Accountants in 2003.

He made the switch back to develop greater connections with his clients, he said.

“I think it comes down to that exposure early on,” Mr Campbell said. “I started in a boutique, then I went from boutique to mid-tier which is completely different.”

“People do ask the question, ‘Why do you go from mid-tier to boutique?’ To me it just depends what you want out of the role.”

Regency Partners managing partner Marco Russo welcomes Mr Campbell’s appointment.

“We are thrilled to have Brad join our team at Regency Partners. His extensive experience and knowledge are sure to be a great asset to our firm and our clients,” Mr Russo said.

Mr Campbell said that he is looking forward to working with SMEs the most.

“With Regency Partners there is a lot of opportunity in the SME marketplace – when you work boutique it’s more of a one-stop shop for your clients.”

“I generally am happiest when I’ve built a relationship with the client. Once your client trusts you and you build that relationship you get a lot of satisfaction out of that.”
