Appointments

The promotion of the ‘out-of-the-box thinker’ at Pilot Partners comes after over 14 years of working at the businesses.

Brisbane advisory firm Pilot Partners has promoted an additional partner to its team after working at the business for over 14 years.

Cameron Woodcroft's promotion to partner comes after he joined Pilot Partners in 2009 as a graduate accountant and subsequently worked his way up in the roles of manager and associate director before his latest promotion.

Managing partner of Pilot Partners, Brian McDonald said Mr Woodcroft’s time with the firm had seen him become an integral member of the business.

“This internal appointment reflects our commitment to encouraging and fostering professional development and showcases the high calibre of people progressing through our firm which has more than 80 accounting and support staff,” said Mr McDonald.

“Cameron’s point of difference is he is an out-of-the-box thinker, spanning multiple service areas with experience in a range of industries including retail, property, energy, transport and logistics, manufacturing and start-ups.”

The firm said Mr Woodcroft’s experience stemmed from helping businesses and their owners navigate complex regulatory challenges and that would make him a good fit within the leadership team of the forensic and corporate advisory teams.

With further experience in outsourced CFO services, business exit planning, risk management and strategy implementation Mr Woodcroft said he was excited to continue to assist the firm’s clients now as a partner.

“I have grown up professionally here and am eagerly anticipating bringing my passion to the work that I do with referrers, clients and staff,” he said.

“My fellow partners have helped guide me throughout my career at Pilot, and I have enjoyed the opportunities that I’ve been given to engage in diverse work that utilises my problem-solving capabilities, including recently becoming a registered liquidator.”

Pilot Partners said Mr Woodcroft’s promotion took the firm to 13 partners and would support its continued growth as one of the largest independent accounting firms in Queensland.
