Paul Doyle will join BDO’s partnership after joining the mid-tier in February last year as a consultant, after nearly three years in a similar role at Hamel Group.

Before that, Mr Doyle spent just over two years at Macquarie Group, first as program director, before being appointed interim chief operating officer.
BDO Sydney managing partner Grant Saxon welcomed Mr Doyle’s appointment and lauded his experience with top-tier corporate clients.
“Paul brings extensive knowledge and expertise in time-bound and business-critical programs,” Mr Saxon said.
“As Partner, Paul will continue to support our client experience with the planning and execution of client engagement.
“Paul’s financial services sector knowledge is extensive and spans across consumer, investment banking and wealth management, with a focus on risk transformation, corporate start-ups, technology innovation, delivery, new operating models and development.”
Mr Saxon said Mr Doyle’s experience will offer value to the firm’s clients as it sees an uptick in demand for audit and tax services, even as lockdown restrictions persist.
“Paul has built an impressive client portfolio during his career, working with: Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Westpac, St George Bank, Macquarie Group, Perpetual Limited, Toyota, MasterCard Australia, Westfield, Optus, and AMP Group,” Mr Saxon said.
“BDO has seen ongoing demand for our traditional services of audit and tax, even with the challenges of ongoing lockdowns and restrictions in New South Wales.”
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Doyle praised the firm’s client focus and workplace culture.
