Tanya Sale brings over 25 years experience in the banking and finance industry to her role as Founder/Chief Executive Officer of outsource financial pty ltd. Feeling inhibited by the restraints of working for other people and with a desire to change the lending landscape in Australia, armed with a set of business models she had created over 12 years earlier, in 2010 Tanya launched outsource financial. The company is now one of largest independently owned Aggregators in Australia.

Initially Tanya held Senior Executive positions in Third Party Banking prior to moving from the Banks to the private sector where she accepted a role with National Aggregator group Lawfund where she eventually held the position of Chief Executive Officer. The group won many awards under her reign of five years.

Tanya moved on to accept a challenge from one of the largest independent Wealth Dealer groups (at that time) to build a National Aggregation Group from the ground up. With Tanya as General Manager within 3 years of its launch Finconnect won Wholesale Aggregator/Originator of the Year in 2009 in the MFAA Awards.

Prior to and since outsources inception many of the existing aggregators were bought either wholly or partially by the big banks.

It is a credit to Tanya that the company has grown organically and not via acquisition or mergers which makes her success even more outstanding.

Under Tanya’s leadership outsource financial won the Australian Broking Awards Boutique Aggregator of the Year in 2012, was finalist in the Boutique Aggregator of the year in 2013, 2014, 2016, Best Training & Education in 2013, 2014, won Highly Commended in the Australian Mortgage Awards Aggregator of the Year < 500 Brokers 2016, was finalist for Best Mortgage Aggregator in the Australian Lending Awards 2017 & won Aggregator of the Year < 500 brokers in the Australian Mortgage Awards 2017.

It should also be noted that Tanya operates in an arena that is dominated by males and today she is the only female CEO and Founder /Owner of a National Aggregator. Not only that, she is very much respected in the finance industry and her comments on industry intel are constantly in the media.

For many years Tanya has been and was named in the mortgage industry "hotshot list" as one of Australia's top movers and shakers within the banking and finance industry.

During her career Tanya has also sat on various boards in the Technology, Financial Planning and Compliance industries.

It is to Tanya’s credit that still today she makes a point of meeting every new outsource member. This is rare for a CEO.

The company has never advertised or marketed as their reputation and credibility within the professional services sector drives their recruitment which is evidenced by the number of professionals within the company’s database.

In 2021 Lielette joined The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA Group) as their Chief Accounting Technician, where her focus is around advocacy and technical professional development for accounting technicians. She currently sits on the ATO Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 Advisory Group and is also a member of the ATO BAS Agent Advisory Group.

Maria is a Senior Lecturer at the Business School UNSW Sydney and Fellow of CPA Australia. Maria’s research interests include integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimensions in investment decision making including, disclosure of climate change information. She is a recipient of several Australian Research Council (ARC) grants with projects that examine the capital market implications of Integrated Reporting and use of environmental and social indicators to develop a valuation methodology for investment decisions. Maria also led a team to develop a built environment impact assessment framework that aims to unlock the value creation capabilities of sustainability reporting in the built environment sector. Maria teaches courses on climate change and sustainability to business students at UNSW. Maria is also a Director at the Australasian Reporting Awards and a member of the Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). Maria has a PhD in Economics at the University of Sydney.

Kerry Humphreys (PhD, CA) is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School (Accounting) at UNSW Sydney. She researches and teaches in behavioural management accounting, and supervises research students in the Honours and PhD programs. Kerry’s research investigates when managers make effective decisions incorporating strategic and performance information, and how new managers can learn to make better decisions using this information. She has published in leading academic journals, and received international award recognition and grant funding. Her teaching and curricula development have been recognised with university, disciplinary and national teaching awards, including the Pearson Education Accounting/Finance Lecturer of the Year award.

Helen Spiropoulos is a Senior Lecturer in the Accounting Discipline of the UTS Business School and specialises in financial reporting and analysis. Helen is on the Editorial Board of Corporate Governance: an International Review and is Program Director for the Masters of Professional Accounting at UTS. She has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Business with First Class Honours at UTS, for which she received the University Medal. Helen completed her PhD in Financial Accounting and Corporate Governance, for which she received The Chancellor's List Award at UTS and the Best Paper Award at the JCAE Conference 2016. Helen also co-runs and mentors in the IBES World 3P Innovation Competition at UTS and has published in a number of academic journals.
