KNOW MOREAn experienced member of the firm’s international board moves into regional role.
A partner at RSM Australia’s Perth office has been appointed to the chair of the network’s Asia-Pacific region.
James Komninos takes up the role after serving on RSM’s international board since 2016, working closely with member firms to grow the brand globally.
Mr Komninos takes over from Wong Poh Weng, former chairman of the RSM member firm in Hong Kong.
RSM said its Asia-Pacific region comprised offices in 20 countries including Australia and was one of the international network’s top performers in one of the fastest growing and most important economic zones in the modern global economy.
The firm said the appointment reflected Mr Komninos’s commitment and expertise after more than 30 years’ experience in audit and assurance. He had developed RSM’s brand through the use of global delivery models and tools to drive business transformation.
RSM Australia said it had also appointed a national head of financial services in Chris Jas. The division currently consisted of seven partners and had experienced significant growth.
Mr Jas, also Perth-based, took over from fellow RSM financial services director Rod Edwards, who held the position for eight years.
The firm said Mr Jas brought almost 18 years of experience to the role, with expertise in assisting those dealing with financial complexities such as recipients of sudden wealth, retirees wanting to be self-sufficient or clients trying to plan their financial future.
RSM Australia is a member firm of the world’s sixth-largest professional services network – RSM – with more than $8 billion in global revenues.
The firm has 32 offices across Australia which can draw on its international reach and scale to ensure clients receive the world’s best practices, technology, and innovation.
