Pilot Partners has promoted associate directors Kylee Smith and Jennifer Veitch to partners in its taxation services team and forensic accounting team respectively.

Joining the taxation services team as partner, Ms Smith said she was eager to take the next step in a firm she had developed in.

“I am excited by the opportunity to join the partnership team at Pilot Partners,” said Ms Smith.

“Many of my fellow partners have guided and mentored me through my career.

“I have enjoyed the opportunities provided to progress my career and appreciated the flexibility available to me while working, studying and more recently raising a young family.”

Ms Smith joined Pilot Partners in 2008 and has experience in tax and business advice specialising in Australian corporate and individual taxation matters including corporate tax, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax.

Ms Veitch has been at Pilot Partners for over a decade and said she was proud the company had put their faith in her going forward.

“I’m honoured to be taking this next step with Pilot,” said Ms Veitch.

“The firm has always been supportive of me and its people and continually strives to improve key services to referrer groups.”

Ms Veitch is a forensic accounting specialist and has experience in business valuations, tracing exercises and commercial litigation.

She is an associate member of the CA ANZ and has expertise in investigating accountants’ reports and receiverships.

Pilot’s managing partner Brian McDonald said that he was glad to see employees who joined the business in junior roles progressing through to partnership.

“We are proud of the contribution Jennifer and Kylee have made to the firm and have no doubt they will continue to add to the success of our business,” said Mr McDonald.

“These internal appointments reflect our commitment to nurturing professional development and the calibre of people progressing through the firm.”

The addition of Ms Smith and Ms Veitch takes Pilot Partners to 12 partners with over 70 accounting and support staff.

Pilot Partners is a Queensland-based accounting firm that provides accounting, restructuring and business advisory services.

The firm also offers international business services as well as forensic accounting.

Pilot Partners’ client base ranges from private owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organisations and high-net-worth individuals through to large corporate and publicly listed companies.
